A Lingerstone QR plaque fixed to a white marble headstone at sunset, with cypress trees and the sea softly blurred behind.

The light that stays at the grave.

A plaque milled into aluminium and fixed to the stone. One scan, and anyone who stops by meets the person: their story, their photos, their voice.

Close-up of a QR code milled into brushed aluminium, each square recessed and filled with black paint.

Cut into the metal, not printed on it.

Most memorial QR codes are printed, or laser-marked a few microns deep. Sun and rain wear that surface away, and the code stops scanning long before the stone shows its age.

We mill every square of the code into the aluminium face of a façade-grade Alucobond® panel and fill it with black paint. The same panels clad buildings from Dubai to Oslo for decades.

Try it. This code is milled the way yours will be. Point your phone camera at it.

A woman and her elderly father look through old family photographs at a kitchen table.

Fill it in together.

Children, grandchildren, cousins abroad: everyone adds the photos and stories only they have. You decide what is published.

If we ever close, their page doesn't.

Memorial companies close, and their pages disappear with them. It has happened more than once. We built Lingerstone so it can't happen here.

A separate fund pays for hosting
Part of every order goes into a reserve held apart from the company, enough to keep every page online for 50 years.
The QR address belongs to the fund
The domain your plaque points to is owned by the fund, so it keeps working whatever happens to us.
You always have a copy
Download the whole memorial, photos included, as a website that opens on any computer. We refresh it every night.

One payment, nothing after

Every plan includes the memorial page for life, unlimited photos, the hosting guarantee and free plaque replacement. Prices include VAT and tracked delivery.

Questions families ask

Does it need an app to scan?

No. Any phone camera opens the page. The address is also milled under the code, so it can be typed in.

Will the cemetery or church allow it?

Most do: the plaque is small and fixed without drilling. If you are unsure, we send you a letter with photos and specifications for the cemetery committee. If it is still refused, you get a full refund.

What if the plaque is damaged or stolen?

Tell us and we mill a new one for free, for life. The new plaque opens the same page.

Why aluminium composite and not stainless steel?

Steel plaques are usually laser-marked, a surface mark that fades. Our code is milled into the metal as a physical relief and filled with paint, so it stays readable as long as the panel lasts. The coating is the same PVDF used on building façades.

Can I change the page later?

Whenever you like, from your phone. The plaque never changes; only the page behind it does.

Who can see the memorial?

You decide: everyone, or only people with the family password. Guestbook messages wait for your approval before they appear.
